About Me

Hi! I’m Diane. Welcome to my kitchen!

I have always, always loved food. I mean really adored food. I’m not a snob about it, though. Oh, I appreciate a gourmet meal as much as anyone — probably more than most — but I also enjoy a good slaw dog or a big ol’ mess of barbecue served on a paper plate.

I’m a complete sucker for kitchen gadgets (totally don’t let me near Lechters), an unrepentant chocoholic and a craft maven (especially crochet and counted cross stitch). But I’m also crazy about a lot of other things. In fact, there are those who would say I’m just crazy, period. ;)

I make my home near a small town about a half-hour away from Raleigh, NC with my wonderful, tolerant husband, my handsome, impressively-smart son and three wack-o cats. I work full-time as a website manager during the day, while evenings and weekends I try to relax, play with my son and work on my own ventures.

When my friends come over, or when I go to their place, we usually end up gravitating toward the kitchen, where the chatter flows while the cooking goes on. This site is my virtual kitchen. Although mostly the topics will be food and my passion for kitchen gadgets (this is a kitchen, after all!), the conversation is likely to take any number of unexpected turns, and cover just about any topic you can imagine.

So settle down, kick your shoes off and relax! Good food, good company, good conversation. What could be better?
